Overview
The DropX PP Spun Cartridge is a depth-type melt-blown polypropylene filter designed for precise removal of suspended solids, rust, and fine particulates from water and process fluids. With a multi-layered gradient density structure, it provides high dirt-holding capacity and stable pressure characteristics, ensuring reliable performance and long service life.
Key Features
Manufactured using an advanced melt-blown extrusion process, the DropX PP Spun Cartridge features progressively finer pores from the outer to inner layers, allowing efficient particle retention and longer filtration cycles. The seamless, binder-free construction ensures high structural integrity and uniform filtration across the entire surface area. Its high void volume results in low initial pressure drop, while the rigid outer shell maintains shape stability even under high differential pressures. Designed to handle a wide range of chemical and physical conditions, it offers a robust, cost-effective solution for pre-filtration and polishing applications.
Applications
The PP Spun Cartridge is used across industrial RO systems, process water filtration, DM and UF plants, electroplating, pharmaceuticals, beverages, and chemical industries. It is ideally suited for pretreatment before membrane filtration, ensuring consistent feed water quality and extended downstream membrane life.
Specifications
Constructed entirely from melt-blown polypropylene with a gradient pore structure, the cartridge is available in micron ratings from 0.5 µm to 100 µm and standard lengths of 10", 20", 30", and 40". The design supports DOE and SOE end configurations compatible with all standard filter housings. It operates effectively up to 60°C, with a maximum clean differential pressure of 2.5 bar and burst pressure above 4 bar. DropX PP Spun Cartridges maintain dimensional accuracy, consistent filtration efficiency, and minimal fiber migration across long operating cycles.
