Overview
Duvera supplies Thermax Tulsion® Condensate Polishing Resins, specially developed for high-temperature and high-purity condensate treatment in power and process industries. These resins are designed to withstand thermal stress and mechanical degradation while maintaining high ion exchange efficiency. Their uniform bead structure, exceptional purity, and controlled particle size make them ideal for use in deep-bed and mixed-bed condensate polishing units where silica and ionic contamination must be minimized to protect turbine systems.
Key Features
Tulsion® Condensate Polishing Resins are manufactured with tightly controlled particle size distribution and high crosslinking for superior resistance to mechanical attrition. The resins exhibit low leachable organics and minimal TOC, ensuring the highest condensate purity. They maintain stable exchange capacity and structural integrity under repeated thermal cycling and backwashing conditions. The combination of strong acid cation (SAC) and strong base anion (SBA) grades provides exceptional removal of ionic contaminants, silica, and trace metals even at elevated temperatures. These resins are pre-conditioned to meet the stringent conductivity and leakage requirements of power plant applications, ensuring consistent turbine protection and operational efficiency.
Applications
Condensate polishing resins are primarily used in thermal power plants, combined cycle plants, and industrial steam systems to remove impurities from return condensate and prevent corrosion in high-pressure boilers and turbines. They are also used in process condensate purification in petrochemical and fertilizer industries, where low ionic contamination is essential.
Specifications
Tulsion® Condensate Polishing Resins include both strong acid cation and strong base anion grades — such as Tulsion® T-48, T-50, A-21, and A-21 Mp — formulated for high-temperature stability and purity. The resins exhibit exchange capacities of approximately 1.8–2.0 meq/mL, with moisture content between 40–50%. The operating pH range is 0 to 14, with service temperatures up to 140°C. Uniform particle size (typically 0.5–0.8 mm) ensures low pressure drop and excellent backwash behavior. The resins are supplied in 25 L or 50 L HDPE bags and meet the conductivity, silica, and TOC standards required for condensate polishing service.
