DropX Biocides and Disinfectants are advanced formulations designed to control bacterial, fungal, and algal growth in industrial and municipal water treatment systems. DropX biocides provide fast-acting, broad-spectrum control to maintain system hygiene, improve operational reliability, and protect downstream components such as membranes, pumps, and pipelines.

DropX Biocides are available in both oxidizing and non-oxidizing formulations, offering flexible control for different system conditions. The oxidizing variants provide rapid disinfection by breaking down organic cell structures, making them ideal for periodic shock dosing and general sanitation. The non-oxidizing biocides offer sustained microbial inhibition through cell membrane disruption, ensuring long-term stability in closed-loop and recirculating systems. All formulations are compatible with RO membranes and process equipment, free from chlorine and heavy metals, and effective across a wide pH and temperature range. The chemistry provides reliable control over bacteria, algae, fungi, and sulfate-reducing organisms without leaving harmful residues.

Applications

DropX Biocides and Disinfectants are used in RO and UF systems, cooling towers, storage tanks, and ETP/STP processes to prevent biofouling and maintain water quality. They are essential in RO membrane preservation during shutdowns, periodic system sanitization, and slime control in distribution pipelines. These products are also suitable for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries where microbial control is critical to maintaining water purity and system integrity.

Specifications

DropX Biocides are liquid formulations available in various concentrations for continuous and intermittent dosing. Typical dosages range from 5 to 100 ppm depending on microbial load and system volume. The oxidizing variants are based on stabilized halogen or peroxide compounds, while non-oxidizing types are quaternary ammonium or isothiazolinone derivatives. They are effective across a pH range of 6 to 9 and can be used in temperatures up to 60°C. All variants are membrane-safe, biodegradable, and supplied in 25 L, 50 L, and 200 L HDPE containers with a storage stability of 12 months.
